Spurettes fall to #1 Sands in season-ender

With a 26-8 record and a bi-district gold ball under their belts, the Spur girls basketball team fought hard to win the next gold ball at last Thursday's area game. The air in the Post Antelopes gym, which hosted the matchup as a neutral site, was electrifying.

Lady Jays win 1st gold ball of playoffs, with resounding win over Crosbyton

Before the playoff game ever began, the tightly packed student section cheering for the Jayton Lady Jays belted out a chorus of “Fear the Flock,” and they weren’t kidding.

The last time the Valley Patriots and Spur Bulldogs faced each other in a football game, they had each won their districts handily, defeated bidistrict opponents handily and packed Jackrabbit Stadium in Ralls handily for round two of the playoffs in November in pursuit of the state championship.
