ON TO STATE Congratulations to everyone who competed in last week’s Area 13 TACS Academic Challenge Contest. Three Jayton teams will travel to the state contest in February. The overall winning team was from Jayton and each member of the winning team won a $500 scholarship.

Patton Springs beats Motley with 3 players on court

The Patton Springs Rangers beat Motley County 44–43 with just three players on the court in last Tuesday’s boys’ basketball game. Patton Springs has only five players, so when two Rangers fouled out in the final 10 seconds, Motley County made a free throw to go up 43–42.
