RANKED #8 The Jayton Jaybirds boys varsity basketball team is ranked #8 in the state in 1A. Last week they nearly defeated the Big Spring team, a 4A team. The Jaybirds narrowly lost 31-27 to the Steers. Tuesday night Jayton was to host the Spur Bulldogs.

WINNING STREAK

WINNING STREAK The Spur Spurettes continued on their district winning streak by defeating the Motley County Lady Matadors 63 to 20. The Spurettes are 20–6, 3–0 in district and at press time were ranked #22 in the state. They were to face the #11 Jayton Lady Jays Tuesday night in a big 5–1A clash.
