Gamma Eta learns about symbolism of Underground Railroad quilts

The Gamma Eta Chapter of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International held its meeting of December 6, 2021, at First United Methodist Church in Spur. Fourteen members attended, with four of those member attending by Zoom.

Jayton to compete at State Congressional Debate Jan. 10-12

On November 15, four Congressional debaters from Jayton competed at the regional competition in Lubbock. Out of 16 1A competitors, Jayton took 4 of the top 5 places. Senior Alana Croft won the competition that day, earning her a spot in the state rounds, in Austin in January.

39th District Judge honored by Texas Bar Foundation

Judge Shane Hadaway with Texas’ 39th District Court, which covers Kent, Stonewall and Throckmorton Counties, has been elected to membership in the Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation, according to a news release from the organization.
