Jayton competes at Regional track, sends two to State

Two Lady Jays have qualified for the State track tournament. Brynn Yanez finished in second place in the 100-meter dash, and Katherine McGee finished in second place in the shot-put. The tournament will be May 6-8 in Austin.

Jayton girls close runner-up to Spur in Area track meet

Only three points separated Area track champ Spur from runners-up Jayton in last week’s area track meet in Post. Jayton advanced 14 tracksters to the Regional meet that will be April 26-27 at South Plains College in Levelland.

Patton Springs advances all Area track competitors to Regional meet

Patton Springs ISD competed in seven events at the area track meet last week in Post, where they finished in the top three of all their events and will advance all competitors to the Regional Meet at South Plains College in Levelland April 26–27.

BATON ROUGE, LA. —Avery Tanner of Spur, Texas, was recently initiated into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation-s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Tanner was initiated at Angelo State University.

DG Gamma Eta Chapter holds final meeting of 2020-21 year

The Gamma Eta Chapter of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International held its final meeting of the school year at the Lubbock Christian University Library. Thirteen members enjoyed a meal provided by the Lubbock Hostess Group.

Spur advances 3 to Regional tennis

The Spur girls’ tennis team won the District title and Spur tennis had six medalists with three of those moving on to Regionals.
