CHEER SQUAD NAMED 2021–22 Spur HS Cheerleaders were announced recently: Gavin Arnold, Alyssa Fulmer, Kristen Gonzales, Sam Joplin, Bucki Smith, Emily Swaringen and Tatum Walker. The Spur Mascot is Chelsea Davis.

SPUR STATE TRACK MEET RESULTS

Cory Hamilton, Gunnir Bateman, Le’Zhane Walker and Craig Leary competed Saturday in Austin at the State Track Meet. The Bulldogs boys 4x200 relay finished 5th, and they finished 4th in the sprint relay.

Big Event is Back

BIG EVENT’S BACK After a year’s hiatus due to the pandemic, Jayton’s annual May 1 cleanup day, “The Big Event,” was back last week as JGISD students, faculty and staff volunteered to help with community projects across their town and county.
