Jayton medals at State XC

JAYTON BOYS XC TEAM MEDAL The Jayton Jaybirds XC finished in third place at the State XC Meet Monday in Round Rock. Daylee Chisum finished fifth. The Spurettes XC team finished in fourth place at the State XC meet Monday in Rock Round. Jordan Zarate finished in fifth place.

Jayton wins bi-district

BATTLE OF THE BIRDS The Jayton Jaybirds grounded the Chillicothe Eagles 45–0 Friday night in the bi-district championship game in Knox City. The mercy rule kicked in as Jayton scored 45 points to their opponents’ zero in the first half of the game. The playoff lasted less than an hour.

The Jayton Jaybirds traveled to Knox City last Thursday to take on the Chillicothe Eagles for the bi-district championship.

Spur Elementary posts 2nd 6 weeks honor rolls

The following students enrolled in Valley School earned “A” Honor Roll for the 1st 6 weeks of the 2020– 21 school year. Third grade: Brody Bennett, Zaivree Childers, Marley Hammonds, Paisley Smith, Summer Smith, Alllie Weiser. Fourth grade: Squire Jennings, Aubrey Luke.

Spur students honor vets

The Spur fifth graders presented the school’s annual Veterans Day program, Wednesday, Nov. 11, in the Dog Dome Auditorium. All grades/classes, several parents, some visitors, and a few veterans attended.
