Spur Senior Citizens

The Spur Senior Citizens Center, located at 210 Burlington Ave., will be serving a noon meal Monday through Friday. The dining room is open, or if you feel more comfortable during the Covid-19 pandemic, we are offering a curbside lunch you can reserve by calling (806) 271-4472.

Spur 5th grade presents Constitution Day program

On Thursday, September 17, the Spur fifth grade social studies classes presented a Constitution Day program in the Dog Dome auditorium. The entire school attended. On September 17, 1787, the Founding Fathers of this nation signed the U.S. Constitution.

FUTURE FARMERS

Patton Springs FFA has a strong group of officers who are willing to put in the effort to make the program extraordinary. Many of these students stepped out of their comfort zone to try out for leadership positions this year.

Spur boys finish 2nd, girls 3rd at Guthrie XC meet

The Spur cross-country teams competed in their first meet of the year Saturday in Guthrie. The high school boys team finished 2nd. Medalists were Jorden Zarate, 2nd place; Zek Moseley, 10th place.

Patton Springs XC runners competed in the Aspermont XC meet Saturday, Aug. 29, 2020. This was a relay race with teams. Results: HS boys team David Reyna and Devon Reyna placed 1st. HS girls team Kinley Chandler and Melania Ramirez placed 5th.
