Lake Alan Henry Water clear main lake, stained up the river; 80 degrees main lake, 83 up the creeks; 8.06’ low. Black bass are slow on spoons, topwater baits early, Texas rigged 7” Power Worms and Z–Man TRDs. Crappie are slow. Catfish are slow.

Jayton predicted to win district again

Pre-season workouts for all area school football teams began Monday, and in Dickens and Kent Counties two of the three high schools have new coaches. Tate Clark will be at the helm for the Spur Bulldogs, and Eric Johnson’s the new head coach of the Patton Springs Rangers.

Texas Sales Tax Holiday set for Aug. 10-12
