Winston Churchill is credited as saying, “Mountaintops inspire leaders, but valleys mature them.” The Jaybirds literally found themselves in the valley Friday night. It was one of those nights when circumstances weren’t favorable.

1st place went to the team of Chance and Whitney Bingham with Garrett and Autumn Jameson, with a 32/32 – 63 (9 under)

CHARLA PARSONS Tuesday Scramble Recap, Sept. 9: A total of 27 golfers turned out for this week’s scramble, forming six competitive teams. 1st place went to the team of Mike Day, Janie Day, James Hughes, and Kathy Hughes with an impressive score of 29 (7 under).

The Jaybirds and Lady Jays competed in the Region II and III Cross Country Preview last week, running in the 1A-4A division. The Lady Jays were 11th overall and the 1st place 1A team.
