In the regular monthly meeting of the Patton Springs ISD board of trustees Feb. 13, Superintendent Bryan White presented and discussed enrollment and attendance, student awards and honors, maintenance, safety, security, housing and vehicles.
The Andrew Kent Soil and Water Conservation District in Jayton offers a $500 annual scholarship to qualifying Jayton-Girard ISD graduating seniors and post graduates planning to enroll in an undergraduate program at an accredited institution of higher education (private or state supported colleges or universities).
Dramatics Magazine calls “Candid”“one of the top ten plays in U.S. high schools.” The play is set in the present as T.J., a young student photographer, chronicles the breakup of his family after his mother walks out. The demise of the family and its devastating effect are captured in dramatic and photographic flashbacks.

COLLEGE STATION—Texas A&M Forest Service is offering new Volunteer Recruitment Resources grants designed to help Texas volunteer fire departments strengthen their workforce and enhance community fire protection.
South Plains College will host two general safety classes for petroleum industry workers March 30 and March 31 in its Technology Center. The college’s Workforce Development is bringing back two oilfield safety classes required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
