The Jaybirds capped off a perfect regular season Saturday in Patton Springs as they defeated the Rangers 56-0 at the half. It was yet another dominating performance for Jayton—this time highlighted by a Jaybird ground game that went for 188 yards on 7 carries.

Bulldogs' season comes to an end

Friday, November 3, the Spur Bulldogs faced the Knox City Greyhounds in Knox City for the final district game. The Bulldogs fell to the Greyhounds, 26-62. The Bulldogs faced the #1-ranked Greyhounds with high energy and nerves.

Big Country Electric Co-Op announces 2024 Youth Tour contest and scholarships

Big Country Electric Cooperative (BCEC) is once again soliciting student applications for its Government- in-Action Youth Tour, an all-expenses paid trip to the nation’s capital. BCEC will send three local students on the Youth Tour, scheduled for June 16-24, 2024.

Jayton’s Branham debuts novella at hometown launch Oct. 23

Jayton’s own Sequoyah Branham is in officially a published author! Her first book, “In the Company of Cows,” launched Monday night at the Kent County Community Center in Jayton, with over 40 guests in attendance.
