Bernice Ozell Watson, d. 2022

Bernice Ozell Watson at the age of 95 was called to return to her heavenly home to be reunited with her heavenly loved ones on February 15, 2022. “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord”—2 Corinthians 5:8.

She spent the last season of her life here on Earth as a resident of Kent County Nursing Home in Jayton, Texas. Our family is thankful for the staff and the care received through out that time.

She is preceded in death by both parents; husband, Will Watson; sons Robert and Michael Watson; grandson, Patrick Scholl; brother, James Long; and sister, Shirley Whitefield.

Bernice is survived by three of her children, Ronnie Watson (wife, Barbara), Karen Crow (husband, Paul), Patti Haley (husband, Russell), seven grandchildren (Christine, Amy, Kenneth, Daniel, Matthew, Jennifer, Sarah and their spouses), 19 great grandchildren, 4 greatgreat grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and other loved ones.

Graveside services were conducted at the Girard Cemetery Chapel in Girard, Texas, on Saturday February19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Jake Edwards officiating, under the direction of Zapata Funeral Home.
