Brian Lynn Hill, 1953–2023

Brian Lynn Hill died peacefully at his home on May 13, 2023 in Spur, Texas at the age of 70.

Lynn is survived by his wife, Becky Sue Weaver Hill of Spur, Texas; one daughter, Chrystal Hill Stanaland (Terry) of Crosbyton; one son, Adam Lynn Hill (Kayron “Tinker”) of Dickens; three grandchildren, Kameryn Lynn Stanaland (Tyler) of Lubbock, Luke Stanaland (Alana) of Lubbock and Ethan Stanaland (Heavenly) of Crosbyton; and one great-grandchild, Mason Stanaland of Crosbyton. Lynn is also survived by two brothers, Richard Maxwell of Arizona; Duke Hill of Spur; and two sisters, Nancy Wright of Carlsbad, New Mexico, and Kary Hill of Spur.

He is preceded in death by his father, Don Hill, his mother, Barbara Durham, and one brother, Bud Hill of Spur, Texas.

Brian Lynn Hill was born February 16, 1953 in Crosbyton, Texas to Don Hill and Barbara Sue Nalley. He was a graduate of the Spur High School class of 1972. He married his high school sweetheart, Becky Sue Weaver, on June 8, 1973. He worked for Mobil Oil Company as an operator and for Dickens County Correctional Center as a correctional officer. His wife, children and grandchildren were his life’s greatest joy.

A visitation for friends and family is scheduled for Wednesday May 17 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Zapata Funeral Home in Spur.
