Norma Jo Pentico, 1935–2021

Norma Jo Pentico, 85, of Rowlett, Texas, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021 at Mercer Place in Rowlett. She was born on September 17, 1935 in Spur, Texas, to the late Norma Agatha and Joseph Dee Williamson.

She was raised in Spur and graduated high school from Muleshoe High School. Norma married Guy Alonzo Pentico Jr. on March 14, 1964 in Lubbock, Texas. They lived in Lubbock, where she worked for Southwestern Bell before moving to Moore and then Lawton, Oklahoma. In 1978 Norma and Guy moved to Madill, where they lived most of her life. She worked as a librarian for the Madill High School, worked for the Department of Health and Human Services, and served as an election worker for Marshall County. Norma was a member of the Madill First Baptist Church. Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, going to garage sales and reading. Norma’s greatest joy was spending time with her family.

She is survived by children Guylene Biddix and husband Michael of Rowlett, Texas, and Keith Pentico and wife Amie of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three grandchildren, Mikayla Biddix, Parker Pentico and Berklie Pentico; and many nieces and nephews.

Norma was preceded in death by her beloved husband; her parents; her brother, Jackie D. Williamson; her sister, Sandra Spoon and husband Ronnie; her nephews Dennis and Barry Williamson; and greatniece Brea.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 11, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a family hour from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas. Jerry Williamson will officiate the service. Honorary casket bearers will be Norma’s nephews. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma.
