Raul Vinton Frausto, age 74

Raul Vinton Frausto passed away on April 6, 2022 at the age of 74, surrounded by his loved ones by his side. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Raul came out a hero and stayed strong until the very end. He spent 48 years in the power line industry teaching and training his entire career. His name is known throughout the entire industry because of his knowledge and ability to add to the industry. To this day he talked about the numerous miles of power line projects that he was a part of. He is a legend in our eyes, a true leader for us all to remember.

Raul was born and raised in Pearsall, Texas. He met the love of his life, Guadalupe, in the year 1965. It was love at first sight; they got married on May 28, 1966.

He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Frausto of Spur, Texas; son Rafael Frausto and wife Rosemary Frausto of Spur; son Rene Frausto and wife Leticia Mendoza of Odessa, Texas; daughter Rebecca Frausto-Fuentez and husband Joe Fuentez of Snyder, Texas; and daughter-in-law Linda Rubio-Frausto of Waco, Texas. He is survived by 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, seven brothers and sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Raul was preceded in death by his parents, Carmen and Santiago/Jimmy Frausto of Pearsall, Texas; son Juan Raul Frausto Jr, of Spur, Texas; five sisters; two nephews; and one niece.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, followed by interment at Spur Memorial Cemetery with Father Arulsamy officiating, under the direction of Zapata Funeral Home.
