Bobbie Ruth (Atkinson) Hix was born January 19, 1931 and went to be with her Lord on September 23, 2025 at the age of 94 years.
Bobbie married Lee Hix on November 5, 1948. They lived most of their lives in Kingfisher, Oklahoma, but moved to Dickens, Texas, in 1992.
Bobbie is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Sandy and Phil Ross of Bixby, Oklahoma, and Patsy and Winfrey Kinzie of Perkins, Oklahoma, as well as six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Minnie Atkinson; husband, Lee Hix; daughter, Sue Raby; and all nine siblings.
Bobbie, or Honey, as many called her, trusted Jesus as her savior at the age of 14 and served him the rest of her life. She also served her community on various boards, including EMS, Dickens Cemetery, Dickens Museum, and the Dickens Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2025, at Zapata Funeral Home in Spur, Texas. Graveside service will be at noon on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Dickens Cemetery, with Pastor Blaine Ross officiating.
