Jean Lajuan Marshall, 1947–2025

Jean “Memaw” Lajuan Marshall, 77, of Spur, Texas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 24, 2025, with her loving family members by her side. She was born on July 24, 1947, in Spur toKennethandWandaMayo Atkinson. She married the love of her, life Miller Davis Marshall, on June 2, 1964, in Roaring Springs, Texas.

Jean was an amazing person with many talents and hobbies such as cooking, sewing, gardening, arts and crafts, and her favorite of all, keeping her grands in line. She will be missed dearly by her friends and loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Creg Marshall; two brothers, David Atkinson and Steve Atkinson; one sister, Darlene Eller; a son-in-law, Shawn Hart; a grandson, Casey Marshall; and one great-granddaughter, Kimber Shafer.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Miller Marshall, of Spur, Texas; her daughters, Amy Hart, Lujuana Bell and Machell Marshall, all of Spur; her brothers, Vance Atkinson of Wichita Falls and Kenny Atkinson of Stamford; her sisters Judy Bland of Clarendon, Janie Day of Spur and Kathy Hughes of Afton; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025 at the Dickens Cemetery.
