Virginia Lee Moore, 85, of Spur, Texas, passed away on July 17, 2026. Virginia was born on June 30, 1941, in Throckmorton, Texas, to Lloyd and Emma Jones.
A cook at the White River Marina for twenty-one years, she was known for her loving heart, cooking, and delicious pies, earning the nickname “the Pie Lady.”
She was a Granny not only to her own family, but to everyone who knew her. Virginia had a special gift for spoiling children with sweet treats, warm hugs, and kindness. When she wasn’t cooking in the kitchen, she would spend her days garage sale shopping in search of hidden treasures and would never say no to a game of bingo. She will be deeply missed by all those who had the honor to meet her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Moore; parents, Lloyd and Emma Jones; brothers, Ralph Jones, Jeriah Spencer and TC Griffith; and sister Patsy Croy.
Virginia is survived by her four daughters, Arlene Wallace of Spur, Tammy Thompson and husband, Dane, of Sweetwater, Texas, Angel and Steve Orphin of New Mexico, Tammy Marshall and husband, Jack, of Spur; four sons, Ray Reeves and wife, Debbie, of Lubbock, Mac Moore and wife, Vicki, of Slaton, Texas; Mike Moore and wife, Karen, of Arizona, and Joey Moore of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Cody Kennedy and wife, Amy, Zane Kennedy and wife, Nickie, Chad Kennedy and wife, Jen, Ciowa Woodley and wife, Joselyn, Cherokee Baldwin and husband, Billy, Cheyenne Stevens and husband, Will, Kendall Moore, Conner Moore, Joshua Moore, Courtney Nutt and husband, Sky, Ashley Tipton and husband, Jett, and many more. She also had numerous great-grandchildren whom she loved and cherished immensely.
