Spur Senior Citizens

The Spur Senior Citizens Center, located at 210 Burlington Ave., will be serving a noon meal Monday through Friday. The dining room is open, or if you feel more comfortable during the Covid-19 pandemic, we are offering a curbside lunch you can reserve by calling (806) 271-4472.

Spur staffer lands cleanup grant for city

Last week Spur city secretary Ashley Carothers was notified by the South Plains Association of Governments that the city had been awarded a Solid Waste Grant in the amount of $3,289.70.

TEA releases STAAR results for grades 3-8

The Texas Education Agency has released the 2022 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness Results for grades 3-8, which showed across-the-board improvements in all grades and subjects, with especially significant gains in reading.
