Our Collaborative Summer Reading Programs are officially over until next year. We had the privilege of hosting a variety of locals for the programs. Our local apiarist, Jon Shipp, started us off with a program about collecting honey from bees.

TGC holding online auction of Spur lots through July 15–16

Following the Dickens County sheriff’s sale of taxdelinquent real property earlier this year, unsold parcels have been placed with Texas Communities Group for auction, according to the county’s agreement with the firm. Currently, 11 properties in Spur are listed at www.texascg.

JGISD approves baseball, softball, salaries in June meeting

In the regular monthly meeting of the Jayton-Girard Independent School District board of trustees on June 27, 2022, trustees approved adding baseball and softball to JGISD’s student athletics program.
