The Red, White & Moo Freedom Parade & Milk Fest, along with various other activities, will be held on Thursday, July 4th on the Courthouse lawn in downtown Plainview.

Dickens 4-H scholarship winners recognized at Texas Round Up

Seven members of the Dickens County 4-H traveled to College Station to compete in the Texas 4-H Round Up. More than 1,400 high school aged 4-H members participated in over 50 different contests, along with leadership workshops, community service opportunities and evening dances.

Allen wins Dickens sheriff runoff, headed to general election in November

In unofficial election results last Tuesday night, Jay Allen came out ahead 57.17% to Jerry Schmidt’s 42.83% in a months-long primary race for Dickens County sheriff runoff, according to county clerk Danay Carnes.
