The Dickens County-Spur Public Library will be the place to be on Monday, April 21 between 6:00 and 7:30 p.m. if you would like to meet the candidates running for local offices. Along with the library, the event, Meet the Candidates, is hosted by the Texas Spur and the Spur Area Chamber of Commerce.

AUSTIN— Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar today said state sales tax revenue totaled $3.68 billion in March, 2.7 percent less than in March 2024. The majority of March sales tax revenue is based on sales made in February and remitted to the agency in March.
