Jayton students take 1st in Conference 1A District 15 UIL Academics

In last week’s UIL 1A District 15 Academic Contest held March ___ in ____, Jayton High School claimed the top spot in overall school sweepstakes, with 791 points.

Spur tops in UIL District 8 Academics

In last week’s UIL 1A District 8 Academic Contest held March 26 in Paducah, Spur ISD claimed the top spot in overall school sweepstakes, with 500 points. Eighteen Spur students qualified for the Regional meet. Guthrie finished 2nd with 318.166 points, Valley 3rd with 252.

Elk Foundation donates $3K to support Dickens County 4-H

Jody Duggan of Spur worked with Dickens County 4-H Shooting Sports recently to secure a $3,000 grant from the Hub City Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. A check was presented to the group at the Hub City RMEF Bull Bash March 27, 2025.
