The Jayton Jaybirds fell to second place in district last week with a loss to the undefeated Paducah Dragons, 66-54. At the time the Jaybirds were ranked #8 in the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches poll, and the Dragons were #19.
The Lady Jays Varsity girls’ basketball team won on the road versus Paducah on Friday, Jan. 18 with a score of 44-30, bringing their district record to 3-2.
