NO BYLINE IN DOC The Jaybirds and Lady Jays are tennis District champs. The Lady Jays captured the girls’ championship, the Jaybirds won the boys’ championship, and together they won the overall championship. All 16 of their athletes advanced to Regionals.

Congratulations go to Patton Springs’ Regional UIL Academic contestants. Diezel Ramirez, Jet Ramirez, Kayson Chandler, and Tatom Bridge are State-bound in Mathematics. They are team Regional champions and team State qualifiers. JetRamireztook1stplace; Diezel Ramirez took 6th.

Jayton to compete in 11 events at State track

The Jayton Jaybirds and the Lady Jays will be represented at the State track meet May 3 in Austin in 11 different events. The Jaybirds were runners-up at last week’s Regional meet, and the Lady Jays finished fourth. The meet was held at Abilene Christian University in Abilene.
