Billy Don Berry, 1956–2021

Billy Don (Bill) Berry, 65, of McAdoo, Texas, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021.

He was born August 18, 1956 in Spur, Texas, to Donald and Margaret Harris Berry. He was a 1974 graduate of Crosbyton High School and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering from Tarleton State University in 1978.

Bill was a lifetime farmer and a member of the Crosbyton Masonic Lodge #1020. It was always evident that Bill loved God, his family and his country. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of McAdoo and the McAdoo Volunteer Fire Department. Bill enjoyed farming and riding around checking crops and watching wildlife with his dog.

Bill is survived by one daughter, Kayla Dennison (Andrew) of Abilene, Texas; one son, Tyler Berry (Brittany) of Albany, Texas; two sisters, Rebecca Graham (Denny) of Waco, Texas, and Barbara Bogart (Charlie) of McAdoo, Texas; nephews Michael and Cameron Graham and their families, and Andrew Bogart and his family; and niece, Mandy Quinn and her family; and two grandchildren, Morgan and Brantley Dennison.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family suggests memorials to McAdoo Volunteer Fire Dept. P.O. Box 79, McAdoo, TX 79243 or First Baptist Church McAdoo P.O. Box 76, McAdoo, TX 79243.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021 at First Baptist Church McAdoo with Rev. Robby Harris and Rev. Bob Joyce officiating. A meal will be served at the MVFD following the service. Services are under the care and direction of Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton.
