Mike Sifuentes

Burial services were held for Mike Sifuentes at Spur Cemetery on August 23, 2021, at 11:00 a.m.

Mike was born in Spur, Texas, on September 29, 1958 to parents Benito and Lillie Sifuentes of Olton, Texas. Mike was raised Catholic. He died August 23, 2020.

Mike attended Olton High School and graduated in the Class of 1978, where he was named Senior Class Favorite and Basketball King of Olton High School during his senior year. Mike had a love for sports in his younger years and, at his height of 6'3", loved playing basketball and tennis. His hobbies included movies, traveling, fishing, hanging at the beach, and spending time with his two grandchildren.

Mike moved to Amarillo, Texas, shortly after high school graduation and worked at numerous restaurants, but his main location was working at the Big Texan until he retired from there and enjoyed living in and where he worked his remaining days as a limo driver and hauling big-name celebrities in Houston at a job he loved.

Mike was a well-dressed man, always looking sharp wherever he went. Mike took pride in everything he did, from the jobs he worked hard at to cooking and planting flowers or plants to pass the day. Mike battled cancer for 21 years until his tired body could take it no more. Mike will be forever in our hearts as he was loved and respected by many. Survivors include parents Benito and Lillie Sifuentes, one daughter, Meagan Sifuentes-Wood; two grandchildren, Aubriella and Anthony; two brothers, David and Freddie Sifuentes, and one sister, Christine Sifuentes-Goss.
