Last Tuesday, the City of Spur’s grant consultant, Jake McAdams of Dallas, led public hearings at City Hall on two proposals currently being pursued by the City of Spur. Also there to represent the city were Mayor Louise Jones, outgoing city secretary Laura Adams and incoming city secretary Barbie Norman.
AUSTIN — Gov. Greg Abbott on July 2 issued an executive order to slow the spread of the deadly coronavirus while keeping Texas as open as possible for business.
At its regular meeting June 22, 2020, the Kent County Commissioners’ Court approved Jayton-Girard ISD’s request $348,063.22 from Permanent School Funds for planned capital improvements, and also approved a reinvestment of $321,650.72 in Permanent School Funds at Plains Capital Bank at the rate of 1.15% and due to mature September 12, 2021.
