LUBBOCK—Billie Marie Ferguson (Cumpton) died Friday, April 8 in Lubbock, Texas, at the age of 82. Billie was born on October 25, 1939 at home on the Jeffery Ranch in Young County just outside Graham, Texas, to Joseph Herman Cumpton and Bertha Evelan Dodson.

Bonnie Young, 1932–2022

KILLEEN—Bonnie Young, 89, died Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Poets Walk Memory Care Community in Round Rock, Texas. Bonnie was preceded in death by Al Young, her husband of 65 years. She is survived by her brother, Arvin Wendell Kilpatrick, and his wife, Betty, of Lubbock Texas.

DICKENS—Connie Cay Warren, 64, of Dickens, Texas, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022. Connie was born June 7, 1957 in Spur, Texas to Bernice and Edna Futch Bilberry. She married the love of her life David Warren on December 21, 1974 and spent 47 wonderful years together.

Nelson Douglas Smith, 76, was born September 30, 1945 in Spur, Texas, to George and Neva (Gunn) Smith. He was lovingly known as Poppy by his family and Doug by his friends and extended family. Doug passed peacefully in his favorite spot, in his chair at his home in Girard, Texas.
