Texas Spur Country football teams kick off new season

KAY ELLINGTON | THE TEXAS SPUR Three teams, three towns, three coaches. Football has begun in Texas Spur Country. Jayton’s Josh Stanaland starts his 16th season at Jayton. Spur’s Tate Clark takes on his fifth year as head football coach. Patton Springs’s Juan Salas is in his first year.

Dickens Co. gets new ambulance

At last week’s KCBD Community Coverage event, you may have seen the “new” ambulance for Dickens County. “We took delivery of the ambulance and drove it straight to the football field,” said EMS coordinator Debi Gardner.

Fat Daddy Scramble 2022 is in the books

A great time was had by all who attended the 8th Annual Fat Daddy 3-Man Scramble. Thirteen teams showed up to join in on the fun. Championship flight.
