Jayton wins the Brother Bowl

In what garnered large amounts of media attention as the “Battle of the Birds” but more predominantly the “Brother Bowl,” the Jayton Jaybirds defeated the Rotan Yellowhammers 42 to 12. Jayton Head Football Coach Josh Stanaland faced his brother John for the first time in his career.

Jaybirds dominate Gorillas in homecoming game

The Jayton Jaybirds were dominant during their homecoming game as they defeated the Trent Gorillas 58 to 0. The Jaybirds, now 3-2 on the season, were able to handle the Gorillas on both sides of the ball, refusing to allow their opponents an opportunity to gain ground.

Rangers fall to Wolverines

The Patton Springs Rangers met up with the Spring-lake-Earth Wolverines in Crosbyton on Thursday, Sept. 27. The atmosphere was intense from the beginning, as the game was to be played as 6-man football in the first half and 8-man football in the second half.
