No ropes on Bulldog offense

Spur’s Jacob Cole scored a 17-yard touchdown on the Bulldogs second play from scrimmage to make the game 8-0 and Ropes would never catch up, eventually falling to the Bulldogs 66-50. Spur never trailed, as they scored touchdowns on 9 of their 11 possessions.

Jaybirds tame Wilson Mustangs

As cooler weather was welcomed to West Texas, the Jayton Jaybirds were able to stay hot as they defeated the Wilson Mustangs 62 to 14 on Wilson’s home field.

Have mercy: Bulldogs ground Eagles 52-0

One thing that can’t be controlled on a football field—apart from rain—is the skill level of the opposing team. Going into the game last Friday night, Sept. 21, it was no secret that the Southland Eagles were not the strongest opponent on the schedule. So, the Spur Bulldogs did what good teams do.

Jaybirds ground the Eagles in first win of season

The Jayton Jaybirds were hungry to take the field against their non-district opponent the Chillicothe Eagles in the third contest of the season. So hungry, in fact, that they recovered their own opening onside kick and never looked back for the rest of the game.
