Jayton’s Winterfest returns — with the new downtown gazebo to show off

For more than a decade, Jayton has celebrated Winterfest, a multifaceted community celebration to kick off the December holiday season, in the heart of its tiny town. This year, the newly repainted and reroofed gazebo on the courthouse square will be a lighted focal point as well.
Congratulations go to the Patton Springs FFA LDE teams, who competed last week at district LDE in Memphis. Kiarra Salas took 6th in her heat in Creed Speaking. The Ag advocacy team ranked 5th overall. Tatom Bridge took 1st overall in Greenhand Creed Speaking and will advance to Area. | COURTESY PHOTO
