In District UIL Academic competition last week, Jayton High School ended up in first place, with numerous individual distinctions. The following list of results is in the order submitted by JGISD. Elizabeth Carpenter took 4th Place in Poetry and 4th Place in Social Studies.

PATTON UIL ACADEMICS Patton Springs ISD advanced four students to Regional in UIL academics. In Calculator Applications, the 1st place team (all regional qualifiers) were Jet (1st place individual), Diezel (3rd place), Kayson (6th place) and Jocelyn.

The first Tuesday scramble of the season teed off on April 2. The team of Jason Tanner, Justin Posey and Ron Young won 1st on a draw. Andrew Bateman won closest to the pin on #8 with his drive landing 3 feet and 4 inches from the hole. Way to go, Andrew!
