Jaybirds stun Cowboys, win bi-district

The Jayton Jaybirds met the Woodson Cowboys at Knox City with the bi-district championship on the line on Nov. 14. Entering the playoffs number one in the state, with a perfect record, has many picking Jayton to advance deep into the playoffs this year.

The last time the Spur Bulldogs were in a bi-district playoff game, most of the current players were in the second or third grade. Friday night this new generation made the most of a historic moment.

Bulldogs hammer the Yellowhammers, advance to playoffs on Nov. 15

The final district game was at home for the Spur Bulldogs Friday night, and the contributions of the senior players were recognized by fans, friends and family. But these players aren’t done. The Bulldogs’ 56-0 victory over the Rotan Yellowhammers provided the momentum for going into the playoffs.
