Panhandle Plains Region Week of June 19, 2019 Lake Alan Henry Water clear main lake and 77 degrees; stained up the river and 79 degrees; 0.82' low. Black bass are slow on crankbaits and topwater. Crappie are fair at night on minnows. Catfishing are slow on live perch and cut bait.

Sequoyah Branham of Kent County 4-H competed at the District Horse Show held in Vernon last week. Branham placed 2nd in the Yearling Longe Line Futurity and 4th in the Yearling Halter Filly Futurity. She is pictured with Diamond and Tappi.

Spur’s Spurettes girls’ basketball team went 5-1 and finished 2nd in the Small School Division of Tarleton Team Camp last week.

2nd Annual White River Shootout, Family Fun Day set for July 6

Crosby County 4-H will be hosting the 2nd Annual White River Shootout and Family Fun Day on Saturday, July 6 from 7:30 a.m.to 2 p.m. The event will be held at the Pavilion, which is located past Campground 2 on the east side of White River Lake.
