JGISD STUDENTS OF THE MONTH WERE HONORED BY THE KENT COUNTY LIONS CLUB and JGISD

administration and staff at the Lions Club meeting held Monday, Oct. 22, 2018. Principal Lyle Lackey introduced the students and explained why each was nominated by their teachers. Students of the Month are Evan Cheyne, Julian Segura, Julia Segura and Jadah Sallee.

KENT COUNTY CHAMBER BRINGS HARLEM WIZARDS TO JAYTON

: The Harlem Wizards took on a team of coaches, teachers and community members from Jayton, Spur, Aspermont and Rotan on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018, at the JGISD gym.

Jaybirds tame the Bobcats

On the opening play of the game, the Rule Bobcats gained 12 rushing yards on the Jayton Jaybirds. This play would be one of the few gains the Bobcats would see for the rest of the evening. Jayton dominated Rule on both sides of the line of scrimmage to win easily 59-0.

Rangers fall to Matadors in first district matchup
