Patton Springs Rangers school Oilers

The Patton Springs Rangers were back on the road this past Friday as they traveled to Dawson to meet the West Texas Home School Oilers. With the taste of victory still fresh from their win against Cotton Center the week before, the Rangers looked to capitalize on a second victory.

Bulldogs answer skeptics in Matador

Those who made the journey north and battled the army of mosquitos last Friday night, Sept. 14, to watch the Spur Bulldogs pound the Motley County Matadors, 60–28, saw glimpses of what this Bulldog team is capable of.

Jaybirds swarmed by Hornets

The Jayton Jaybirds fell to the Aspermont Hornets 76 to 38 on a muddy Friday night. Head Coach Josh Stanaland knew before the season began that starting the season with back-to-back games against Division 1 opponents (Aspermont and Knox City) who made the playoffs last year would be a challenge.

Bulldogs stroll through Meadow

Tate Clark picked up his first career win as head coach as the Spur Bulldogs took to a soggy field and manhandled the Meadow Broncos Friday night, Sept. 7 to a score of 64-14. The Bulldogs came out a bit sluggish, but it didn’t take them long to set things right.

Jayton Homecoming planned for Sept. 27-29

The biennial Jayton Homecoming is this year, and it’s set for September 27 through 29, 2018. Activities get underway with a bonfire Thursday evening. The junior class is building the homecoming bonfire. Please contact Josh Stanaland at joshs@esc17.net with donations.
