In the national 4-H program, Ronda Dalton of Afton (Dickens County) has given more than 30 years of service to the organization—a role she isn’t finished with yet, but which has earned her the coveted Leader’s Legacy Award.

LEVELLAND— South Plains College congratulates more than 400 students who were named to the Spring 2024 President’s List. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 4.0 and complete a minimum of 12 credit hours. Braden Demoss of Jayton and Kyle Schledwitz of Afton achieved this honor.

Parsons were declared the winners after 2 holes with their birdie to take home the 1st place money. The Joplin, Williams, Dodson team claimed the 2nd place money. Winning the closest to the pin contest on the No. 8 hole, was Rick Johnston. He planted his drive 4.6 inches from the cup.

Mixed Gender 3-Person Scramble Results. It was a really fun day for the Mixed Gender 3-person scramble last Saturday. It was a touch breezy but thankfully the rain held off until after play was over. I am relatively certain everyone had a great time.
