Jayton debaters headed to state

The Jayton High School Cross Examination Debate Team attended the district contest in Guthrie, Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021. Joel Williams and Ben Blankenship secured their ticket to the state competition, going 4–1 on the day, earning them first place at the contest.

Jayton Girl Scouts to sell cookies all month

Girl Scout Troop 7115 of Jayton is selling strong as the 2021 cookie season continues! The cookie lineup for this year includes their three bestsellers—Caramel DeLites, Peanut Butter Patties and Thin Mints, as well as Girl Scout S’mores, Shortbreads, Peanut Butter Sandwiches and Lemonades.

1A Region I District 5 Girls Basketball District Standings

UNDEFEATED CHAMPS!

The Spur Spurettes defeated Guthrie Friday night 36 to 25 at the Domes in Spur to become the undefeated (10-0) district champions for the 2020-21 season. Spur finished first, Guthrie second and Jayton third. All earned a berth to the playoffs. Jayton plays first Thursday, Feb. 11 at 5:30 p.m.
